Why did you get into early child hood?

I have always been a bubbly & happy people person, though when many industries came to a halt over the whirlwind of the last few years, I reevaluated where I could use my hard working skills & love, I began my Diploma in Early Childhood Education & haven’t looked back!

How did you achieve your qualification?

I was lucky enough to contact my current workplace, seeking placement hours and successfully landed a job, I completed my qualification whilst working full time and studying part time on nights and weekends!

What did you like about ECT?

The thing I loved most about ECT was the endless support and guidance we received, my trainer Kate was forever available to me with any questions I may have had, something I may have been stuck on, or something I wanted to learn more about. The class we had became a close knit group of friends and going to class or logging on of the evenings was a pleasure!

ECT has been such an amazing company to do my course through! The trainers are so lovely, informative and know what they’re talking about. Karen in particular, has been a wonderful trainer and has taught us so much and always finds a way to keep it interesting and teach us in the best way possible. You can tell she really has a passion for the industry and teaching others to be their best.

I have thoroughly enjoyed each week of this course and I will be sad when it’s all over. All the trainers have so many years' experience in the industry, and it shows! Highly recommended this company to anyone wanting to get into the early childhood education industry. You will enjoy it and feel very supported the whole entire time.

Hi, my name is Maree and I am a student currently studying a diploma of early learning education with ECT.  A bit about me, I am 19, working full time at a Montessori long day care, as well as participating in various activities through out the week. Through studying with ECT, it has allowed me to study and complete a diploma in my own time, and attending classes two evenings a week which has been very beneficial for me as its allowed me to have time to not only complete the diploma and all the required submissions, but it's also allowed me to focus on my work, my hobbies, my friends and family and my future plans.

Through doing an online course it's given me time for my studies, work and personal life which is an opportunity I wouldn't have gotten in an in person institution.

With regards to the trainers involved in ECT, the ones I have been privileged to be taught by have been absolutely amazing. Karen, my trainer, has been super supportive, understanding and encouraging throughout my studies so far. She has encouraged me to keep going and to not give up and has guided me when I was struggling! She has also considered my personal life and has allowed me to hand submissions in when it suited me.

In conclusion I highly recommend both ECT and the trainers involved as a place to complete your studies as I have found it a very good experience. Thanks ECT for allowing me to have an awesome opportunity to complete a diploma in early learning. :)

I have always been in love with children at different age groups, and I believe I am capable of bonding with children very quickly with trust and honesty. I was always thinking to be someone among children, to know about their world, about their emotions and how they reflect on the environment around them.

To start doing my diploma with ECT and learning a lot was the best decision I have ever made and I am very proud of it to reach this goal. I am working towards my diploma and am a childcare educator, everyday is a new challenge and new lesson to learn and I enjoy it a lot to be where I always wanted to be.

About ECT all I can say is it is the best provider, with all the time supporting availability and learning opportunities to add up more in my knowledge.

Growing up I’ve always had an interest in looking after children. I remember, at the age of 8 years old, I had little knowledge on how to change nappies and how old babies are allowed to have solid foods and always wanting to help my cousins with their readings and homework’s. I love watching children learn and grow. Throughout my schooling, I knew I wanted to further my studies relating in Early Childhood. Finishing Year 12 I started to search for courses in Early Childhood Education and Care courses. Believe it or not, I have never been so thankful for Facebook’s advertising until I came across ECT’s page and their advertising of the Diploma of ECEC.

I have been so blessed to have had the opportunity to put my interest into action and further my knowledge and education with ECT. I am grateful to have met some amazing people through ECT and being able to share the same interests and having eye opening discussions during classes. I am especially blessed to have such an understanding, one call/text away, amazing Trainer Kate. She was always there to encourage me when my self-esteem was down and when I lost motivation. Despite the challenges, throughout all the assessments she has been there for me and with all of Kate’s wisdom, I managed to push through the challenges and achieved what my 1 year ago self could not imagine of achieving.

I am forever thankful for Kate and the team behind ECT for the opportunities they have given me. Going forward, I will be recommending ECT to anyone I know who are looking to further their studies in Early Childhood Education and Care.
