CHC50121 – what will you learn?

When you complete a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, you will grow your understanding of children’s development and the Early Years Learning Framework.

This qualification will give you the knowledge and skills to lead and support a team. You’ll learn how to plan, introduce and manage programs in a childcare services workplace to meet licensing, assessment and duty of care requirements.

CHC50121 – which careers can you choose?

To get the most from your studies, we recommend you work in the childcare sector while completing the Diploma. The practical experience will enhance your training outcomes.

You can do the course at your own pace and organise your studies around your other arrangements and commitments.

Once you’ve successfully completed your Diploma course you’ll immediately be eligible of becoming a room leader helping to support your team in all aspects of early childhood education.

You’ll also be able to confidently observe and plan a curriculum based on the developmental needs and interests of each child.

What’s more, after the appropriate amount of experience in the role of room leader you’ll have the opportunity of advancing to the position of centre manager, coordinator/director or educational leader.

Furthermore, the Diploma will provide you with a pathway to obtaining a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies if that’s your career goal.
